The Syrian topic came up in the State Department’s daily press encounter yesterday (17 Nov 2009) and the spokesman commented on what the US was looking for Syria to do. (Allow IAEA the access it has requested.)
It’s interesting that the question (by one “Andy” — who’s that?) that led to the clarification included the idea that Iran might have been involved as well as the DPRK. This idea has been circulating in right-wing commentary for quite a while, but seems to be getting a little more traction recently.
