Dammit.

Shachtman over at DefenseTech.org suggests my efforts to entice my readership to join us for a drink or eight at the Fox & Hounds pub— Washington DC, next Tuesday, the 18th, starting around 8pm—weren’t exactly rousing.

So let me try again:

And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of bloggers;
For he to-day that drinks his draught with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in Washington now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That drank with us upon Tuesday, January 18.

Right, so. Fox and Hounds. Like St. Crispin’s day, but without the bloodshed … I hope.

Anywho, so, the thing about being a wonk is that you actually have to do research.

If you wonder why I haven’t commented on reports that Russian observers will attend a nuclear safety exercise in April 2005 or that Moscow might be willing to sell China some of its retired Backfire bombers … well, I am working on it.

Anyway, some missile defense software commentary is on the way.
